Just The Right Ingredient
Every time I am in Los Angles, I make it a point to dine at one of the best pizza places in the country. Ladies and gentleman, I am talking about Pizzeria Mozza! For those of you that have not had the pleasure to sink your teeth into a piece of their famous pizza pie, I am here to tell you that it's easily one of the most flavorful bites you will ever taste.
The other good news, is that Pizzeria Mozza is co-owned by one of the country's most notable chefs, Nancy Silverton. Yes, a woman - a smart, talented, entrepreneur. Just the type of gal I look up to in more ways than one.
Silverton's journey to success did not happen over night. Her first job was working in the kitchen at Wolfgang Puck’s celebrated LA restaurant Spago. She then went on to co-found the world-famous La Brea Bakery and Campanile, and eventually co-owned Osteria Mozza with partners Mario Batali & Joe Bastianich. You may have heard of those guys?
This famous chef has written a series of books (including a book on how to make the best sandwich) and already launched a handful of new restaurant locations around the world.
Nancy (may I call you Nancy?), I sure would love to have you over to my house for dinner. You just may need to show me a few things around the kitchen though! In the meantime, I will make sure to pick up one of your cookbooks.
